Developer Iron Galaxy have announced their upcoming action game project in the form of Extinction, a game where you’ll face off against a horde of ogres that threaten mankind with – you guessed it – extinction. Apparently, protagonist Avil is one of the last remaining warriors trained in the art of ogre-slaying, so you’ll naturally be taking control of him as he goes about his business jumping around rooftops and slaying oversized green munchkins while also trying to save as many civilians as possible. There’s only a non-gameplay trailer available at present, so we don’t (yet) know how Extinction actually plays, but the developers will be showing it off behind closed doors at this year’s E3, so we’ll likely learn more then.
Extinction is set to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in Q1 2018.
