Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the latest entry in the long-standing and highly popular JRPG series, is coming to North America and Europe on September 4 for both PS4 and PC. The game’s premise puts an interesting twist on the “chosen one” trope:its protagonist is a young man who, as it turns out, is the reincarnation of an ancient hero – the world, however, doesn’t take the news very well and instead brands him as a so-called “Darkspawn” to be hunted down. So now it’s up to you and the handful few who still believe in your innocence to travel across continents in search of the truth.
Aside from PS4 and PC, Dragon Quest XI will also be launching on Switch, but only at a much later date, according to Square Enix. As for the 3DS version, it will stay in Japan for good.
